When Rockstar's first incarnation of the GTA series was launched, few thought its aerial perspective gameplay would make it.
Fortunately, the skeptics were proved wrong and the developer had launched what would eventually be one of the most successful franchises in gaming history.
Grand Theft Auto brought the world the ability to steal cars, punch and mow-down passersby and flame out anybody that dare cross your path -- be it in a mission or just for fun -- with a capable flamethrower.
GTA has every element a good game needs, most notabely endless hours of playtime.
While the graphics aren't stellar, the soundtrack and the ability to knock down anyone you wish makes it all the worthwhile.
