Our Review:
Inferno is a science fiction 3D space simulation game set in the future, the sequel to Epic. Years later after the original Terran's home system was destroyed and the Terrans moved through the Neutral Zone, the universe is at peace, for a while. But unexpecticly, a civilian freighter is attacked, not standing any chance agains the invaders, the Rexxons, who the Terran's encountered after they fled from their home system many years ago. Seeing as there is a threat at hand, you are sent out to see what is remaining of the freighter and to stop the attackers, when you arrive there, you transport over to the freighter to find that there is still people remaining on-board. However, Rexxons are inside and you are grabbed by suprise, you fight back but they attack you and you are then put into a tube filled with a strange liquid that transforms you into one of the Rexxons themself. In a mad rage, in your altered form, you slaughter the remaining Rexxons on the station and are turned back into you're own self, human again. After that ordeal you are stronger than ever and are willing to destroy the Rexxons completely.

Inferno uses a similar engine to TFX and Epic, but is quite better than them both. The 3D graphics on Inferno are pretty good to say the least, with some good texturing on the objects within the game. It also has some nice movies in the game too, with speech (CD version). The plot to the game is good too, although not as deep as Wing Commander's dense storyline. Inferno is a great game, the graphics are good, the sound and music is great. In fact, the music is pretty damn good actually. If you have played games like TFX and Wing Commander, you should give this one a try, its a great game.
