I think the people at Sierra are obsessed with making adventure games. After the Larry games they are back (again) with a spy story. The game looks and sounds exactly like Larry 3. The only thing that's different is the story. The Background:We play the role of Lieutenant Commander John B. Westland of the U.S Navy. He's enjoying his well earned vacation on a small tropical island when a crisis breaks out in the East which increases the tension between Russia and the U.S.A. Of course he's the only man that can bring closure to this matter with a sabotage mission codenamed: Iceman.I have to admit, I didn't have enough patience to finish this game. I played with it a little, but I found it extremely boring so I just quit. Maybe boring isn't the right word for it, but it was definitely uninteresting. I think Sierra was out of ideas for this game. I was reading into the walkthrough and it seems that there's a submarine simulator (kind of) somewhere in the game. My question is: what for ? Who wants a simulator in an adventure game ? They also changed the meaning of some of the commands. For example the 'look' command now only gives a description of the thing or person you're facing. One good change is that you don't have to stand next to the object you want to pick up any more. Well, anyway the graphics are very good (considering they're EGA) and the music isn't bad either, so if you just want to play every Sierra game that's out there then this game is great for you. But if you like good (not necessarily new) adventure games then I think you should stay clear of this one.
