This is a great golf game for the beginner, as the factors that you need to take into account when taking a shot (such as wind, snap, and power) are quite simplistic in relation to if you were playing golf outdoors, not on a computer. The game makes great use of the PC speaker, using it to do a running commentary during the game, for example if you make a nice shot - it will let you know about it.
The Gauntlet, is a course that comes with the game that has a nice range of holes to test your skill, however the game also comes with "real" courses such as the infamous St. Andrews.
